
Albany State University has as a part of its mission, to internationalize its curriculum and expose ASU students globally. To advance this mission, ASU currently offers three study abroad programs: Jamaica, Kenya, and South Africa. Each of these study programs are offered during the summer months, and offer students throughout the University System of Georgia, the opportunity to earn from 3 to 9 academic credit hours, while experiencing 'up close and personal' a foreign culture. The Jamaica Study Abroad Program is situated in Kingston, Jamaica and is affiliated with the University of Technology. The Kenya Study Abroad Program is situated in Nairobi, Kenya and is affiliated with Kenyatta University. The South Africa Study Abroad Program is situated in Pretoria and Cape Town, and is affiliated with the University of Pretoria, and works also with the University of the Western Cape. Fundraising efforts to expand this program are ongoing.
